Ben is very relaxed and easy going, much like his sister, only he is incredibly open and almost embarrassingly blunt (much to his sister’s chagrin). He likes to argue for the sake of arguing and enjoys getting on the nerves of people for his own enjoyment. However, when it comes to getting stuff done, he’s the man for the job.
Physical Description
Ben can be found in his signature laid-back pose with his feet up on any elevated surface and his hands relaxed on his stomach. He’s incredibly tall and big; he works out a lot and as a lot of muscle mass to him. When standing beside his sister he makes her look like a midget. He has a lazy smile and keeps his hair short. More often than not he can be found wearing cargo pants and a black shirt, more than happy to go against dress code most days and get in trouble because he couldn’t care less.

Outwardly, Ben is very sloth-like and relaxed. He is perfectly content to chill out and strike up a conversation with anyone sitting close by. He is very amiable and loves to talk to anyone who will listen, albeit he also loves to argue with anyone over anything. While it doesn’t show, he truly cares deeply for his older sister and will do just about anything for her, except adhere to dress codes.

Ben Dixon is the youngest of two children born to Richard and Amelia Dixon, born 2372. His father was a marine and took care to raise his children with the same values and honour that comes with being one. While he respected his father’s beliefs and passion for the Marines, he found more interest in pursuing studies in Security and Tactical divisions rather than military.
Despite seeming like a slacker, Ben was incredibly smart and intelligent and passed his training with surprisingly top marks. He was first stationed on USS Stark and was content to stay there for a few years.
While he has had many opportunities to potentially become the head of security, Ben never took an interest in the position. He’s far more interested in working in the action rather than being the one to control and plan it all out (though on more than one occasion he’s been known to undermine the head of security).
He eventually joined his sister on the USS Merriweather where he worked closely with Charissa Lopez who, while being totally in love with Persephone, frequently argued with Ben over strategies and his habit of undermining her orders and plans.
It was a hard time when his sister was declared MIA near the end of 2395. He transferred over to the USS Phantom after Charissa left Merriweather in a state of depression over the loss of Persy. He started taking his work more seriously and became more ambitious in order to emulate his sister. It was a huge relief when he received word that his sister was alive. It was difficult not to contact Charissa to tell her the knews, as Persy didn’t want Charis to find out. While Ben didn’t understand why, he obeyed Persy’s wishes and vowed to stay by her from then on.
He kept his distance while Persy recovered from her injuries but kept and eye out so he wouldn’t lose track of her again. During the next two years he took time off his work to live close by Persy and watch out for her. After she healed, they both got themselves stationed on Starbase 12, Ben as a Lieutenant JG in Security working hard to become the next head. While he still drives his sister crazy with his laziness, he’s more protective than ever over her.
